The Arduino Mini and Nano used to be the only options for small Arduinos. Now there are a number of independent Arduino clones, some funded on Kickstarter, that are tiny and cheap. I will post a spec and price comparison soon.

Nice list. none of them seem widely available in 2016. But there are new clones however, like Geeetech Iduino nano
